BOS/Zamil Awarded Sipchem EPC Contract
16/Mar/2011
Britannia Oil is delighted to announce the winning of an EPC contract with Sipchem (Saudi International Petrochemical Company), to be carried out their Al Jubayl petrochemical plant.
As part of their cost-saving resin management strategy (phase 1), Sipchem required assistance in monitoring acidity levels in a 16ft filter.
The solution to be implemented by Britannia Oil - in tandem with joint venture partner Zamil Operations & Maintenance - will involve dismantling the filter and augmenting it with four steel-framed sight glasses. The glasses will be cleaned internally by specially designed spray nozzles.
Britannia Oil’s involvement, covering the entire lifecycle of the project, will focus on engineering, procurement and site management, with Zamil Operations & Maintenance carrying out all prefabrication and installation work.
Our goal, as always, will be total adherence to all relevant quality/HSE standards and zero incidents.
The Britannia/Zamil partnership is eager to prove its worth to Sipchem, with this project hopefully the first of many to be carried out for what is one of the Middle East's premiere petrochemical companies.
